FASHIONWEEK Spring 2008: Grey Ant Goes Flowy with Cinched Waists. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG

A stylish collection that takes the label's signature high waist in a new direction with pattern-dyed linens & flowy fabrics cinched abve the waist into striking silhouettes with crescent-shaped bottoms (perfect for junk-in-the-trunk camouflage). For the menswear portion of the show, designer Grant Krajecki included oversized ponchos, hoods & higher-waisted jeans that - while way lower than the female version - still showed a rise in rise. In previous seasons, shows reveled in the label's Cali roots as an 80s-focused party brand with theatrical performances, back-up dancers & club lighting, the move to NYC seems to have somewhat dampened the spirits of this now grown-up band.
