First Ever John Bartlett Store to Open in NYC this September. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG

Fashion_3An artist rendering of the new John Bartlett store.

Fashion_4 That's bull! One of the fab ceramics on offer in the home department.

With fieldstone walls, rugged wood floors, exposed rafters & an expanse of windows, the 500 square foot David Gauld-designed boutique will create a Bohemian vibe that's perfect for the chic West Village nabe. Located at 143 Seventh Avenue South, the store will carry both Bartlett’s signature sportswear & made-to-measure clothing, as well as a range of furnishings exclusive to the boutique. The designer will also be collaborating with various local artisans to create one-of-a-kind ceramics, scent, hand screened t-shirts & CDs.

“The mood for the store was greatly influenced by the late German artist, Joseph Beuys, both for his use of found objects and his underlying military sensibility," notes the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year winner (1997), who closed his company for a time in 2002 to take an Ashtanga yoga & Buddhism sabbatical in Thailand and Cambodia. “I am truly excited about sharing my vision of the John Bartlett lifestyle with my customers. This store will provide a physical presence for the brand and set the tone for other stores to come.”
