If you’re in Union Square in the afternoon, the Puma I-Cycle Man will be helping chill out the overheated concrete jungle with tasty ice pops from a Puma bike fashioned after a classic ice cream bike, with an oversized refrigerated cooler secured to the front. As part of the Puma I-Cycle Project, he will also be handing out coupons to the Union Square Puma Store and a chance to win a brand new PUMA 8-Speed bike built with Biomega. Like its 2005 predecessor, a single-speed foldable bike, it's is designed with the urban commuter in mind, boasting an integrated wire lock system & a structurally sound frame that folds in half.

Along with the I-Cycle, there will be a variety of guest riders including local celebs, gallery owners & VIP industry types to add local community flavor. NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg even high-fived the effort for helping Gothamites choose bikes over cars. “In fact,” noted Bloomberg, “NY is well on its way  to becoming the nation’s most bike-friendly city." noted Mayor Mike, referring to the city’s bicycle facilities, parking, and free route maps, to setting up miles of new bike lanes, paths, and car-free greenways. "That means less gas emissions from cars and a better, safer, cleaner City for you and your stunning new Puma Biomega 8-speed fold-up bike. Puma has a long history of supporting bike culture, with a special focus on city riders and urban commuters. As Mayor of this great environmentally sound, 21st-century city, I’m proud to take part in this important project, and to recognize its sponsors for contributing much to the health and sustainability of New York.
