Underrated & Delightfully Quirky, London's Emma Cook Represents in her Fall 2006 Runway Show. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG & PODCAST
Yes, she stayed on-trend with the rest of the fashion pack - "no makeup" makeup, simple hair, muted black/grey/neutral color palette - but Emma Cook came up with her own unique twist with tons of adorable, funky frocks that could be dressed up or down to suit a variety of fashion tastes & styles. The metallic greys were particularly beguiling, while the nud'ish prim pink dresses - with a distinctly wartime feel - gave FT the warm 'n fuzzies.
FT faves from the Emma Cook show:
- lace layering
- chunky headbands worn across the forehead - like a rapper or 70s tennis star
- knits
- oversized bows
- funky grandma'ish loafers somehow magically transformed into cool, very now kicks
- slouchy-chic baby doll dresses rendered in a decidedly non-baby doll grey
- the au courant feel of sporting a dress over black tights & turtleneck
- Lesley Scott & Rachel Remz Porter
