Nylon's Parisian DIY- An Adorable Braided (they call it plaiting) Scarf, cooked up by French Savant Isabel Marant-Fashiontribes Fashion Blog

Homeplait

In honor of their Viva La France edition of Nylon, (which I am hopelessly in love with), Nylon's DIY this month was brainstormed by terrific Parisian designer Isabel Marant.  The best part?  It's so excruciatingly simple, my dogs could do it.  By simply whipping a strip of fabric into a braided wonder, voila! you have a chic new scarf.  Simple.    Especially when you consider that your strip of fabric can come in the form of one of American Apparel's pre-cut scarves.  How much simpler do you get?  Simply fold the scarf in half, stitch up the open side, turn the tube so the seam is internal, make 5 cuts, evenly spaced, around  29 inches up the scarf.  Repeat this step on the other end, and braid the two ends.  Oh so cute-I promise.  I tried it myself.
