Whether your appetites veer more toward the experimental end of the spectrum or you're just bored out of your skull with your usual noonday fare, Thomas and Quentin feel your pain.
Fed-up, the founders of the graphic design & art direction studio Furious decided that lunch needed a serious makeover. So they began running to the supermarket, nabbing that day's creative inputs - from tomato to Tabasco to peppers, eggs, eggplant, turbans, nails...gold powder (!) - cooking, styling & shooting it all in about 1.5 hours. "It soon became a ritual: improvising and experimenting each week new ways of cooking and representing a burger in very short lunch break," they explain about their Fat & Furious Burger project. But don't be fooled: despite their "over-the-top" looks, these burgers were made to be eaten.
And they were! Enough, apparently, to spawn a cookbook with Michel Lafon Publishing featuring 60 recipes for "kamikaze livers and intrepid stomachs."
