At the tiniest end of the spectrum, researchers are recruiting atoms for computer processing and memory. Pull back and discover that our Milky Way Galaxy apparently contains several tens of billions of Earth-size, potentially-habitable planets. Even the final inner frontier is being diligently mapped and accessed; you can now slip on a relatively cheap headset that reads your brainwaves and lets you control a robot. With. Your. Thoughts. “The future is getting ever smaller into micro-micro and nano-nano and ever bigger into questions about the cosmos,” observes Charles Leadbeater, who has authored several books about the knowledge-driven economy. “We create it but we don’t understand it. It’s our creation and yet we don’t control it. And so we live with a perplexing abundance, or the possibility thereof - a sort of fog of possibility that’s so great, it’s very difficult to make sense of.” Danish physicist Niels Bohr was certainly correct about prediction being difficult, especially concerning the future.
I like a challenge, especially one that's difficult, so I've been looking into the future to see what it holds. Hold onto your chapeau as the winds of change are blowing in surprising directions. Some highly touted gales will be downgraded to the level of kerfluffle, a testament to the power of PR buzz and word of mouth (as Douglas Adams observed, the only thing able to travel faster than the speed of light is bad news). And some deceptively gentle zephyrs will end up burning down the house. “We can be fairly sure,” opines Nick Harkaway, author of The Blind Giant: Being Human in a Digital World, “that next year will be twice as changey as this year and that will increase exponentially from now on."
And include biological teleportation. Electronic telepathy. Brain implants and prostheses. Neural dust. A gene therapy that is replacing the heart transplant. Nanorobots that perform brain surgery. Brain-controlled bionic-limbs. 3D-printed eyes, kidneys & livers. Big data, quantum computing & the rise of the deep-thinking, artificially-intelligent machines. A mindboggling whirlwind of amazing new discoveries, deep trends and other winds of change are shaping your future - and not just your body and mind, but spirit, too. It's all here in one place in this timely e-book & personal tour guide to your future.
For now, it's exclusively available as part of a book bundle called the Superheroes of Health. In addition to The Future of You, you'll get health, fitness and nutrition information that's dogma-free and science-verified from the top experts and iconoclasts in the industry. I only agreed to be part of this bundle because I know and respect the more than 20 other authors - so you have my word the entire package is 100% fluff free.
However...........if you're a cheapskate like me & dig free stuff, leave a comment here on the Fashiontribes FB page about why I should give you a copy - and I just might! :)
Here is the podcast I recorded - enjoy!
