You never forget your first ... sight of a piece by the Spanish architect and artist Gaudi. Kelly Brett certainly didn't and found herself still influenced by his work long after she left Barcelona, studied at Parson School of Design in Paris, did a stint at Ralph Lauren & finally branched out on her own.
Vivienne Kelly features intricate, hand-painted wood mixed with elegant touches of metal - like this splendid "Luna" crescent moon & brass pendant necklace she recently sent me. It's large & totally in charge, particularly with some of my cashmere knitwear or paired with a simple tee.
Other pieces variously feature paint spatters, color blocking and graffiti prints, reflecting her Gaudi'esque love of being different.
