Ineke Rühland, an independent classically-trained perfumer from ISIPCA - the only university-level perfumery school in the world - creates some of the world's most beautiful perfumes, coveted by cognoscenti everywhere. Through original photos, evocative artwork, and snippets of verse, Ineke crafts an intimate ‘story’ for each scent; her passion for literature, design and the arts are reflected in every bottle of her alphabetical line of fragrances, which includes: After My Own Heart, Balmy Days & Sundays, Chemical Bonding, Derring-Do and Evening Edged in Gold.
Ineke’s latest “letter" was inspired by her halcyon days studying perfumery in Paris and Versailles. “Field Notes from Paris” captures the dreamy, reflective feelings of sitting in a café and writing in a journal while lingering for hours over a café crème.
The “woody oriental” structure opens with top notes of coriander seed, orange flower and bergamot followed by tobacco flower and leaf (nicotiana), cedar and patchouli, closing with amber, tonka bean, beeswax and vanilla.
A fragrance created to share, men and women alike will find that this deep, rich scent strikes just the right “note”.
