Even as a young fashionista, Houston native Tara Levitin was winning awards for her handmade jewelry. The enterprising 9 year old later studied at the Fashion Institute of Design in Los Angeles, and launched her own line, naming Leviticus Jewelry after her late brother Levi.
"The contemporary collection of handmade copper, raw brass, and sterling silver jewelry is inspired by my love of oddities, music, and old movies," explains the designer. She creatively mixes copper, raw brass, and sterling silver, lending her pieces a distinctive, antique feel. Rachael Ray, Leigh Lezark from the Misshapes, Ultragrrrl (Sarah Lewitinn) and Pixie of TLC's L.A. Ink are all fans. Available at LeviticusJewelry.com.
