(Update! Check out Michelle Obama in her Inaugural Ball Gown choice: a gorgeous, ethereal white one-shoulder number by Jason Wu.) With the pre-inauguration festivities in full swing, all eyes have been on Mrs. O for a dose of fashion fabulousness. To visit Arlington National Cemetery and for the We Are One concert at the Lincoln Memorial, she stayed loyal to her election night choice of Narciso Rodriguez for both appearances: a dusty purple coat and dress combo for the former, and for the concert a super-chic black-lined camel coat & skirt with beaded black top; the $17,000 white gold & diamond earrings by luxury rock 'n roll jeweler Loree Rodkin were on loan from Ikram in Chicago. Voicing what most everyone is thinking, former Maryland lieutenant governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend told WWD: "What I really like about Michelle is that she always wears American designers, which also helps American design and manufacturing — not only the people who design the clothes."
