"I think women will be really pleased with all the pretty, feminine fashion for spring," says Constance White, Style Director for eBay, expressing surprise at the exuberant color palette for Spring 2009 - after a fall so dominated by strict structure and the color black. Her advice on doing the trends right come next season? Go bold and beautiful.
"Some of the top trends are flowy, bright colors, prints, leather for spring...which I think is kind of exciting. I think women should have a pair of these great platform shoes that we've seen - not the extreme kind we saw at Michael Kors, that was just for the runway - as well as a really pretty, feminine dress, a nice little sweater or maybe a vest - a long vest to layer over those relaxed, soft 'track' pants (a la Marc Jacobs)."
