For its 150+ year history, the chi chi jewelry house has catered to royals and fashionistas alike, combining artistry, superb quality, and French chic. A new, soon-to-be released book catalogs 175 of Cartier's benchmark pieces, showing the bling at actual size - many of the photos previously unpublished - as well as illustrations and detailed descriptions from Cartier’s vast archives in London, New York, and Paris.
Six essays cover a broad range of topics from Cartier’s colorful history, including the influence of the Ballets Russes on Cartier's forward-looking designs of 1910, technical prowess, and important clients and collectors.
Cartier: Innovation Through the 20th Century is available for pre-order at Amazon.com for an October 7th release.
