Word association studies invariably show red to be perceived as the most sensual of all the colors - the most "viscerally-alive" hue according to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute and author of Color: Messages and Meanings. As opposed to, say, blue or even purple, red is the symbolic color of the heart, and "linked to love and passion. Strong-willed, it expresses emotion, and is the most physical color in the spectrum. Physiologically, red is the call to the adrenaline glands to get the body and senses activated."
A fun way to up the sexy-time quotient - any time - would be in these spicy and eyecatching "Heart" kicks by Kobi Levi. They use the negative space so cleverly to create a heart shape, while the arrow is fashioned from the strap. Levi was also the creative madman behind the amazing "double foot" boot that Lady Gaga wore in Born this Way.
