Finding the perfectly chic holiday ensemble would be so much easier with a personal fashion stylist on call. Fortunately, designer Kimberly Larc has broken down the holiday trends, making it easy to know which dresses and accessories hit the mark this season."When looking for the right outfit to wear to the holiday parties, you don't want to wear things that over power your inner self," advises Larc, who debuted her Renee Larc for Milan 08 collection at NYC's Fashion Week. "You want to be able to feel comfortable and confident with your outfit."
Here are Kimberly Larc's holiday fashion picks:
Festive Dresses A fitted dress is a fitting way to end the year and welcome in
the new. An hourglass girl's best friend is anything knee-length in stretch satin; for accentuating curves, a strapless sweetheart is failsafe. (Zac Posen Parker halterneck - Net-a-Porter.com)
Sexy Shoes Just because the temperature has dropped a few degrees, you can still show off your pedi with a sexy peep toe. If high heels aren't your thing, but extra height is, try a platform. "This is a great safety net in that you are able to still be comfortable and wear a higher heel that doesn't make the balls of your feet burn," says Larc. Cute Glasses This season, fashionistas are making passes at glasses, especially chic cat-eye frames. For presription wearers, Transitions lenses change from sunglass-dark outdoors to clear inside, while providing 100% of the damaging, wrinkle-causing UV rays. Oversized Accessories Make an outfit pop by layering up one arm with bangles of all shapes, sizes & different designs. Or, flash an oversize cocktail ring in an exotic color. (Kenneth Jay Lane Olivine ring - BagBorroworSteal.com)
Bags Handbags have never been hotter, especially long clutches for day or evening. (Belen Enchandia metallic clutch - BrownsFashion.com)
Coats Instead of hiding you & your festive frock under a bulky coat, try a belted trench or capelet. "The caplet is perfect if you want a sleek sexy look and the belted trench coat gives the fit & flare look." (wool & leather trim trench - Bebe.com)
