How a fashion designer takes stock of what's appealing in the ether, and comes up with a collection that combines serious Victorian layers & ruffles, bedouin-inspired hair regalia and 80s punk Doc Martens...and makes it all work is, possibly, the eighth (fashion) world wonder.
