Armani Prive, Spring 2007 - one-shouldered frocks for any mood or body type.
Typically, the term "one-shouldered" conjurs up visions of a 70s Halston disco dress. However, the recent Armani Prive showed just how elegant and feminine one-shouldered dresses could actually be. Rendered in varying shades of grey, from slate to dove, they were shaped into a body-skimming A-line, a stiffer version with draped tiers at the hips, a bubble skirt, and full-on sexy hourglass - ie. something flattering for almost any figure type. While the exposed shoulder is overtly sexy, the muted gray hue keeps it downright ladylike.
The key to pulling off a one-shoulder dress with panache is pairing the dress with pared-down accessories and neutral shoes. However, if you're feeling flirty & girlie, say "yes" to a fun floral cocktail hat or hair ornament.
