FASHIONWEEK Spring 2008: Sailor'esque Chic by Venexiana. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG
Venexiana designer Kati Stern presented a sophisticated and refined mix of navy/cream colored dresses and separates for spring, in modern sailor'esque fashion. Short waisted jackets were paired with cuffed wide leg pants, and draped sleeveless tops were paired with culottes. Stern offers a variety of different style dresses – a navy sailor collar dress with cream eyelet, an open back dress with a cream satin collar, a cream/navy trim drawstring dress and fun tea length, and halter dresses in floral, polka dot and paprika prints. The evening gowns exemplified elegant award show glamour seen with a variety of details - beaded halter, crystal waist, single shoulder strap, satin straps, silk satin wrap and satin empire waist. In addition to the gown color palette of paprika print, navy and cream were copper and silver.
