After graduating from the Parsons School of Design in 1989, Karen Karch and her street-inspired designs roughed up the fine jewelry market with the debut of her first collection. Not surprisingly, Barneys New York, Barneys Japan and Fred Segal Los Angeles all began carrying her designs almost immediately. Her range of historical and artistic periods - including Victorian, Gothic, Art Deco and Southwestern American Indian - and interesting combinations of precious metals & stones has made her the go-to fine jeweler for those of us who like our bling fine but not precious.
