During their honeymoon in Bali, Christine Hutchison and her husband, Wells, learned from their tourguide what a difference five dollars a month could make to the villagers. Inspired by the beautiful handbags and accessories crafted by local artisans, they started Five as a way of using fashion for the greater good.
Selling accessories made from bamboo, coconut shells & other recycled materials which are specific to the global regions in which they are created, five dollars of every handbag sold and 15 percent of all other sales helps support grassroots efforts around the globe to aid under-privileged & at-rish children through each artisan's local cause - such as the 10 schoolkids in Bali they are currently supporting.

"We want to enhance the modern woman's look by offering products that are carefully selected for their fun designs, natural materials, quality craftsmanship, and affordable prices," notes Christine. "We created this brand to make our customers look good and feel good. The philanthropic side has been a key factor in quickly building a loyal following."
