As the Nick Cannon & Selita Ebanks Star-Studded Engagement Party Proves, Yes Indeed, the Rich Are Way Different from the Rest of Us. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG
Immediately upon leaving the Metropololitan Museum of Art Costume Gala, the actor chauffered his Victoria's Secret angel via Rolls Royce Phantom to Times Square, where the MTV jumbotron read: "Selita will you marry me?" He dropped to one knee, sealing the deal with a 15 carat (!), Jacob-the-Jeweler diamond dazzler.
Celebrations followed afterwards at Butter, where Cannon surprised Ebanks by flying in his mother, both her parents, and best friends. Guests including Marc Ecko, Tommy Hilfiger, Jacob the Jeweler, Zach Braff and Young Jeezy enjoyed red velvet cake, free-flowing champagne, Budweiser Select and Evian. The jet setting couple left the party at 3am so that they could catch a private plane back to LA that Nick chartered so that he could make a 9am call time for his new film, American Son.
