40 something & More Fabulous than Ever? Tell the World in "The Starter Wife" & Ponds Contest. FASHIONTRIBES BEAUTY BLOG

Beauty_58

Based on Gigi Levangie Grazer's New York Times bestseller of the same name, The Starter Wife is now a 6-hour TV event premiering in May on the USA network. Debra Messing stars as Molly Kagan who has been blacklisted from premieres to pilates, and is searching to rediscover life after divorce. A brief respite in Malibu and some oh-so-Hollywood friends prove to be the perfect cocktail for her transformation from "Starter Wife" to her new life.

The Starter Wife
has partnered up with Ponds on a 40’s and Fabulous contest, which encourages real women to share why they are more beautiful and confident in their 40s than they ever were in their 30s or even 20s.  Five winners will be featured in their own USA commercial -- and win an all-expense-paid weekend to live like a celebrity in Hollywood, including a fashion/beauty makeover and tickets to The Starter Wife premiere! To enter, visit USANetwork.com.

I am a single sassy and confindent 40 year old mother of three, with sickle cell anemia. I have many troubles in my life now with rasing kids on a fixed income from the state, but I make sure I put some away for my ponds cold cream, been a user since I was 16 kind of always been into my appearence with my illness it really takes it's toll on my entire body, it caused me to have a total hysteroromy at the age of 26 ,so I am more prone to aging skin but so far so good because I really pile the ponds on, that old saying less is better I don't think so. It would be a real treat to get some pampering in and feel like a real star, I think I am because it's hard what I am going trough when I get sick I usally have to stay in the hospital for about 2 weeks leaving my two younger kids to raise them self while I am away, getting poked and probed at. Being 40 would be more fun of I got out more and enjoy making to that wonderful age, when I do get out people say I look great for my age. I want keep rambling on but I just want to say it would be a blessing for me and my kids to see me doing something like this you never know what will come of it, thank you for reviwing my profile hope to hear from you soon .god bless

I am 41, married for 17 years, the mother of three awesome kids ages: 20, 16, and 14. In my twenties I was a single mom to my first son and through my 20's and thirties really struggled with my identity. I was unconfident and insecure about everything...my ability to parent, my looks, what people were thinking about me, my career, what I was going to do with my life etc. I was able to quit working out outside of my home soon after getting married and later on began homeshcooling the kids. This really set the stage for me in my forties to pursue my passions which are music and horses. I am following my dreams and reaching goals that I have set for myself for the first time in my life. I have begun to notice that when I go out, whether it be to the grocery store or dinner, heads turn. My husband tells me I look better than ever. I feel confident about the way I look and at 5'5" and 125-135 lbs. I don't get freaked out anymore when I gain a few pounds. I don't mind the curvy look. I feel confident and enegetic, I try to speak my mind tactfully and don't really care what anyone thinks about me. I like the age my kids are at and the fact that they are independent and self confident. I like my life and I like being 40 something! It really is the best time of my life.
