“In terms of form, a general favoring of graceful curves over sharp, stark lines, although some apparel extremes were seen on the runway," notes David Lundahl of David Lundahl Jewelers about the runway & jewelry trends for Fall 2007. 

The Trends in Jewelry for Fall 2007:

• CIRCLES & ELLIPSES "For accessories and fine jewelry, popular circle motifs are being stretched and skewed into ellipses."
• WHITE METALS "Due to the primary runway colors being neutrals (blacks/greys with color splashed for maximum effect), white metals like palladium and platinum platings are being used in jewelry, handbags and shoes."
• PAVE & PENDANT FABULOUSNESS "Pave is being used as an elegant enhancement, rather than an ostentatious coverup. Pendants showed tremendous variety, from tribal amulet styles to chic diamond pave patterns. Caged designs, captive pearls, chalcedonies and amethysts will be spectacular as statement pieces.”
• COLORS! “The strongest aspects of red and blue (passion and honesty) are being combined in gorgeous royal shades of plum and merlot, with lighter pinks and orchids as secondary colors.  Colored golds are used as backdrops and accents (similar to what we saw on the runway), and hammered motifs on clean, geometric pieces add new dimension.”
