FASHIONWEEK Fall 2007: Yohji Yamamoto Channels Victoriana, Bedouins & The Wild Ones. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG
How a fashion designer takes stock of what's appealing in the ether, and comes up with a collection that combines serious Victorian layers & ruffles, bedouin-inspired hair regalia and 80s punk Doc Martens...and makes it all work is, possibly, the eighth (fashion) world wonder. Even the ragamuffin/motocycle-tough bride, with her Wild Ones cravat & hat, could make the most persnickety designer-worshipping Bridezilla consider ditching the tulle meringue.
