FASHIONWEEK Fall 2007: Snazzy Silhouettes & Dinnerplate-Sized Accoutrements at Topshop. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG
Summary: If your waist is your fave body part, or you wish it was, the sexy hourglass silhouettes at Topshop are great news. On-trend with the shapely ladylike ensembles on all the major runways, the belts added a touch of fun - this is fashion after all, not rocket science. Of course, a cobalt blue minidress will work best on someone who isn't experiencing flashbacks of this hue from the first time around in the 80s, but everything else is chic & wearable right off the runway.
Color Palette: cobalt blue; army green; loden; black; metallic pewter; grey; black; charcoal; dove gray; Missoni-esque multi-hued knits; rust; rich burgundy; chocolate with white Deco print
Textures & Details: belts at the natural waist with oversized round belt buckles; knits; cool-kid granny layers; silk print jumpsuit
Key Looks: slouchy/chic menswear-inspired trousers, cobalt belted mini; grey belted long-sleeve dress; dusty egglplant belted suit
