FASHIONWEEK Fall 2007: Streams of Color for Cynthia Rowley’s Fall Collection. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG
Summary: “My inspiration for this season comes from Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights and layering of color,” explains Cynthia Rowley about her flashed up fall collection of modern girlie glam clothes. The collection is very celestial, offering a luminescent spectrum of colors that is for eveningwear. There were some functional elements as seen in zip-off sleeve jackets and coats, making the ensembles transformable from day to night. Black shimmery hosiery completed the luxe look. As always, Rowley presents us with fanciful, flattering dresses that would be hard to go unnoticed with such richness in shimmery colors.
Color Palette: black, white, shimmery metallics of gold and silver, merlot, plum, twilight blue, aubergine, charmeuse
Textures & Details: silk wool, wool, haircalf, sequins, brocade, braiding
Key Looks: braided necklaces and belts, oxidized metal dress with fencing vest, plum cape with elastic skirt, zip-off sleeve jacket with golden ochre dress, petal top with silk wool trousers
