It's breast cancer awareness month. As someone who lost their nearest & dearest friend/pal/confidante/travel companion - my mom, Mary Jo Scott - to this dreadful disease, it turned out that those ads are sadly right: breast cancer touches all of us, whether or not we are actually diagnosed with the disease.
