As a trendspotter, editor for NPR's Day to Day show, and host-about-town of her own NYC-based videopodcast, The In-List (at Styleaholics.com), Najwa Moses knows what's up.  To find out what's hot & what's not amongst well-attired Gothamites, we had Naj check in for a Fashiontribes exclusive podcast (above) on the trends to pay attention to:

• WHITE BOOTS FOR FALL "That old rule of not wearing white after Labor Day (an American holiday in honor of working folk that marks the end of summer) is out out the window. I've seen all kinds of white boots, with buckles, round toes, kitten heels, low, high, plain, decorated, you name it." (Marc Jacobs)

• 80s PUMPS "The kind with a thick back heel - about 4 inches high - with a round toe." (Prada)

• MARY JANES "Mary Jane heels are hot, especially the old fashioned ones, with a chunky heel (but not wedge). " (Casadei)

• METALLICS "Metallics are here to stay, in everything from belts, to shoes, hairclips, headbands, and flat ballerina slippers in silver, gold, and even colors like turquoise.
