FASHIONWEEK Spring 2007: For Understated Elegance, Pay Richard Chai a Visit. FASHIONTRIBES & GIRLAWHIRL BLOG & PODCAST

(photos: NewYorkMetro.com)
Summary: Chai sent out a small, focused collection of demure walking shorts, peter pan blouses, sundresses, coats with interesting ruched & pleated details. A pewter greatcoat with a pleated panel on the lapel over a white shirt and sky blue pant looked fabulous, and the pewter also showed up as an adorable ruffled bolero.
Color Palette: lavender, white, milk chocolate, Tiffany blue, pewter, black, hot pink
Textures & Details: ruching & pleating; muted but shimmery hues
Key Looks: pewter greatcoat with pleated lapel paired with a sky blue pant & white shirt

I couldn't agree with you more. I love every look that Richard Chai designed in his Spring 2007 collection. He is definitely a designer to watch.
