What Makes a Good Burger Great? Perigord Truffles, Chef Daniel Boulud, and a $120 Price Tag. Meet the DB Burger at DB Bistro Moderne. FASHIONTRIBES RESTAURANT BLOG

“The French are just jealous they did not invent hamburgers themselves,” Chef Daniel Boulud was rumored to have said in response to the France uproar over Mickey D's encroaching on their turf. So it's ironic that it's a Frenchman who is responsible for creating the world's priciest hamburger. Nestled in a homebaked parmesan poppy seed bun are slabs of red wine-braised short ribs and fresh in-season black Perigord truffles, accompanied by mixed vegetables and horseradish tomato confit.  Your burger royale (but not with cheese!) awaits at DBBistroModerne.com.
