Is Glam a Scam? Not in Our Book. FASHIONTRIBES BLOG
A piece in Celebitchy.com is of the mind that the Glam Network is luring in unsuspecting bloggers with promises of $.50/click for third-party ads that have never materialized, and that "no one has ever been paid by Glam that we could verify."
In the interest of fairness to Glam.com, I should explain that my experience has been completely the opposite. After Gucci ads were served in December (if memory serves - this being the internet after all where time speeds along in dog years), as well as a few other times, I received checks for Glam for the agreed-upon amount.
I actually love the idea behind Glam - a site where many of the hot fashion & lifestyle items are all located in one place for shopping convenience. It's a viable & comprehensive fashion resource, which is why I feature a daily pick from the Glam site - called Glam Slam - for FT readers. This is just something I do for FT readers (similar to my daily Overstock.com Watch & Stylehive Buzz picks); it was an editorial choice I made a while ago, not something that was requested of Fashiontribes.
I've really had no problems with my dealings with Glam, and just wanted to put that out there.
