Thanks to the Internet, it is now possible to buy lots, streets, and towns on planets in distant solar systems.  When asked about the reality of trying to sell properties in other solar systems, Tracy Forgette, a Cali stay-at-home mom and one of the owners of Out of This World Real Estate, explains, " “Some guy claims to own the moon and has been selling people property up there for years.Other people buy stars and have them named after someone, so we thought, why not go beyond that and give people more than just a deed?” Adds co-owner Kim Banks: “We are not just selling them a piece of paper. They get more than just a deed.” While the kooky duo hope to make money off this unusual venture, they are aware of that at present, their site appeals more to curiosity-seekers rather than those in the real estate market. "Obviously the main goal is to make money from this site, but if nothing else, it will make people smile or laugh, which is never a bad thing. People are either going to think that we are weird, or they will understand this is just a novelty thing, and they will really enjoy it.”
