Worse than a Band-for-Hire is Saatchi & Saatchi's New Creation: Four 20-somethings That Will Eat, Drink, Dress & Listen to Whatever Music Their Sponsor Wants. FASHIONTRIBES POP CULTURE BLOG

In a mindboggling new development, the British arm of the advertising mega-giant has created a "band" that stoops to arguably new lows in commercialization: "four twenty-something girls who will completely give themselves over to the whim of the advertiser who chooses to cough up the dough to sponsor them," explains a recent piece in Adrants (Ad Agency Creates Branded Girl Brand). "Everything from the name of the band, musical style, lyrics, clothing, the food they eat and the liquid they drink will be under control of the advertiser"

Does this bode a flood of Mickey Ds, Neutrogenettes, Pepsi Princesses, or Microsoft Mamas? via YPulse.

Do not know what's worse: the "bands" prostitution-like existence or the poeple who buy their stuff (whatever it may be) despite knowing that they are nothing but a marketing product. That's really sad. Anyway, thanks for the post.
