Just like the flowers in full bloom outside, of late, the stores have also been starting to resemble a hothouse of exotic florals. Even the home decor market is under the sway of flower mania with everything from candles to upholstery sporting flower & leaf prints.
Great prints appeared on many a runway. Even if you don't think of yourself as "a print person", keep an open mind: it's a fun time to try on the trend. Not only is there tons to choose from at every price point, but done right, a jaunty floral print can add some zest to a wardrobe. The floral skirt flatters everyone, especially in a flattering waist-cinching silhouette that's full-skirted & hits right around the knee. The key to pulling it off: just like the Nina Ricci runway, stick to a very plain neutral tee on top. If it's still a bit nippy out, go for 3/4 sleeve, and transition to cap sleeves as the mercury rises. And when full-on summer hits, a casual option is a wife beater, again in black or white - or, if you're rocking a black & white floral, a lipstick red tee would look fabu.
