FASHIONTRIBES TIDBIT: You Gotta Network After Work. Make It More Palatable with the Right Clothes that Take You from Office-to-Evening in a Snap. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG & PODCAST
Increasingly, the work day has been growing ever longer due in large part to after-work functions. While they're ostensibly "voluntary", if you want to survive & thrive at work, you gotta know people. And the best way is by networking at these annoying after-work affairs.
The easiest way - wardrobe-wise - to deal is by wearing chameleon clothes that go from boardroom to cocktail hour with an easy change of shoes and bag that you've already stashed at work. Sophisticated suits in neutrals like black or white work really well, both the skirt & pant variety. All you'll need to do before you step out is change out your shoes for a strappy, metallic sandal, and a smaller evening bag. If you're in a skirt suit, the skirt is already flirty, but pants suits can have their flirtation quotient upped easily with a sexier, cami-type top.
