Years of towering heels create have left me teetering into back and arch problems. Not to mention a Carrie Bradshaw-worthy collection of pricey stilettos. Any shoe shopping expedition generally ends with me looking longingly at a single, affordable pair and wishing “can’t I just like these for once?”...which then makes me that much more convinced that I should spend the extra $100 to get the pair I really covet.

Price aside, what makes my feet happy? Wedge heels under 4 inches.  So when I find a pair of perfection that are comfortable and inexpensive, I get giddy.  (That is, after I come to from fainting.)  These Kenzie Billy kicks were the hands-down fave from a recent shopping trip, and only $55. What are the chances? And don't fret the "faux" wood - I decided that it translates as "light-as-air". Available at Nordstrom.com
