Tuleh: Forties Film Noir Goes Traveling-Fall 2006 Runway Show-Fashiontribes Fashion Blog and Podcast
Lesley and Rachel give us the low-down on Tuleh with their newest New York Fall 2006 Fashion Week Podcast frmo the Tents at Bryant Park. Their first issue? How the heck do you pronounce Tuleh? Rachel love Bryant Bradley-The event was styled so well with the music first Join Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart", Le Tigre's "Decepticon", as well as the colors utilized with green, purple, black gray, bright red, and a terrific twead that resurfaced!
Lesley-It felt like a film noir experience with silk screens and giant bags. Lots of big beefy firms with fox over the shoulders. Phenonmenal firm.
Rachel-The forties vibe was especially apparent in the beauty aspect with the red lips and the carefully styled hair. The theme was so present throughout the entire collection which you don't see a lot of nowadays.
Anna Wintour even looked swoon-y! Let's take a Wintour moment! She was wearing jeans and she was wearing Lesley's jacket! Our thought? Anna Wintour shouldn't wear jeans. The jacket was from the Balenciaga collection. The queen really should only wear Prada and Chanel!
The final word? Thumbs up! Two years in a row a great collection!
