The A-List Socialite's Daughter Should Head Straight for Bill Blass - Fall 2006 Runway Show. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG & PODCAST

PODCAST: Bill Blass serves up a Dose of glamour for the wealthy socialite's daughter. Fall 2006 Runway Show Review. Fashiontribes Blog and Podcast File

Even wealthy socialite's kids need clothes, and this new & improved collection from Bill Blass designer Michael Vollbracht delivered the goods. With this collection, Blass should finally shake its fusty image. Your FT crew went ballistic for the oversized shiny black belts, especially on the lipstick red Marilyn'esque gown. Tres fresh.  Unlike many of the other collections at this New York Fashionweek, this collection was not look after look of black, grey & hits of white; instead it was characterized by tons of color from vibrant red, to coral, gold, bronze, camel, eggplant & green.

Bill Blass color palette:

  • Lipstick red
  • grey & khaki
  • brown tweed
  • leaf green
  • camel
  • eggplant/bordeaux
  • irridescent teal
  • dusty blue
  • chartreuse
  • graphic black & white
  • gold/bronze
  • coral velvet

Accessories/Hair & Makeup:

  • ginormous, wrestler-worthy width belts
  • elbow length gloves (love!)
  • to-die-for croc envelope clutch
  • hair: bobbed & worn down & loose.
  • "no makeup" makeup
