Film Noir Gets a Cheery Dose of French Sunshine, Courtesy of Temperley London. Fall 2006 Runway Review. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION BLOG & PODCAST
We loved the black velvet smoking. We loved the knee-length knickerbocker that tied at the knee & featured an old fashioned men's pant self-belt in the back. We loved-loved-loved....and did we mention, love?...the mini-dresses: cream lace, an ivory knit with black & white braided collar & belted with a wide black belt, and a wine & black intarsia camo sported by Jaquetta Wheeler.
There were a few repeats of dresses from the spring line, however, Temperley made it worthwhile with touches such as the matador/obi cummerbund skirts, a black bubble-shaped mini, and glitter-encrusted chiffon fishtail dresses.
