A Dime Tatoo? Dimes are a paranormal phenomenon that are said to be a sign from a loved one up above-so we adore this tat-Fashiontribes Tattoo Blog
When my grandmother, whom we lived with, and who raised me with my mom and grandfather while my father traveled for work, passed away 2 years ago, i slumped into a depression so deep, I couldn't function. The thing is, as it was our matriarch that passed, so did my mom and dad and uncle and cousins. Desolate, we all became miserable to be around. One day, my mom, praying for a sign that things would take an upswing, found a dime in the dirt walking our dog. Then the dimes started puring in-we would find them in and out of the house, walking, running, on the beach. We all started finding them individually-particularly when we were struggling-but we also find them on holidays and events-like my wedding. Of course, when you explain this to people, you sound nuts. And then I found this story of a Dime Tattoo.
"It's a widely accepted phenomenon. Finding dimes is a message from a loved one from "the other side". I have been finding dimes for five years, since my son died in a horrible car accident. I probably have 200 of them! And they are always in the weirdest places. On the shoulder of the road, in a driveway, etc. I almost always find a dime during a race (I am a runner). I stop to pick them up, and have been almost trampled by runners behind me. I put this dime tat on my wrist, in a spot usually covered by my watch. The silhouette is my son's instead of FDR. Now whenever I have to remove my watch, I find a dime. It always makes me smile."
The phrase widely accepted paranormal phenomenon makes me feel much better about the situation.

Right after my beloved younger brother died in 2003, I began to find dimes. I am a born again Christian, not superstitious, but a clear thinker and scientifically minded.
It seems like someone knows where I will be and places the dime there purposely. I walked home from a convenience store one day and had to walk down a narrow path. Weeds were here and there. Perched right on top of one weed and balanced perfectly so it would not fall,as if it had deliberately been placed there was a dime.
I know this phenomenon is not a coincidence. This has never happened to me before. I last found one today. It was right where I would be sure to find it. As if someone knows even where I will look. And why do my eyes turn to where the dime is? Why do I not miss it?
These dimes definitely seem to be deliberatly placed in my path. Why???
I told a minster's wife about it and she said the Bible teaches that the number ten means "legal union" but I still have not figured out this strange finding of dimes.
I do not believe my brother has nothing to do but place dimes in my path to bewilder me.
I also do not believe the devil has the power to do this.
God is allowing this, but why?
God would never do anything to bewilder me or harm me or confuse me.
I still seek an answer from God and I will receive it I believe.

My father died and I have been reading about paranormal stuff, because I am very interested but likely also as a way of numbing the pain or denying how much grief I feel. The more I read the more I feel at peace. Anyway, I came across lots of references to people finding dimes. HOLY CRUMB! I had never heard of that before but about six months my husband and I were both finding them everywhere, too. Likely a hundred. We didn't consciously keep them, but we both noticed and thought it was very odd. This was six months or so before my father died so I don't know what the connection could be, although my hubby has lost both his parents many years back. The timeline just seems odd -- long since his parents and fairly long BEFORE mine. What else could it be??

My mother passed in Sept. last year. A couple of days later I found 3 dimes in one day. I didnt think much of it. The next day two more this went on for about 3 week, finding a least one a day.
It's been 6 mths. now and I am down to at least 2 a week. More on days I am very stressed or thinking of her more than usual. My dimes are usually in parking lots of stores, parks places like that. (I have not found one under the couch).
My family and friends at first thought I had lost it but then my mother sent some to them also.
These dimes are such a sweet blessing to me from my mother. It just makes my day when I find one. I know she is watching over me still.

I too believe in the dimes. Realized this was a connection the day my brother died very unexpectedly. We had gathered at his house that night and there was a dime on the floor. My sister-in-law joked about how he always carried a dime with him in his youth in case of an emergency to make a phone call. Shortly afterwards we found dimes in the strangest places and in places that we know they were not there before (like one in my shoe!!) We all had jewelry made of dimes to keep him close to our hearts, I have a watch, pendant and earrings made of dimes. At a family picnic, our large family gathered for a group photo..my mom was upset that my brother was not with us, but beside her chair, in the dirt, was a dime. We placed it on her shoulder and said...he is with us!!
When my mom took ill, she told us when she dies she would "toss us a dime" We found a dime on her doorstep on Christmas day a few months after she passed and at many other times.
Everyone we told the story to would then find dimes and mostly at a time when they needed to be reassured in their lives. It is a phenomenon that cannot be explained. I have a jar full of dimes that I have found. I have accused people of deliberately placing them for me to find only to realize that they did not.
There are just too many incidents for this to be coincidental and in reading others posts and doing research I feel this is truly a sign from our dear departed loved ones reminding us that they always with us

I too find dimes, but I havent lost anyone close. I dont have time for a story about it right now, but I have been finding dime in the strangest of places and at times when they would either save my life, so more. They have popped up when my daughter was born, or when a close friend came back from war. I always find them in places that it seems, someone should have found it already. My wife says it is an angel, I used to think it was just chance but now, I am a believer, someone is there.

Wow...dime stories! My daughter was tragically killed on April 19th, 2006 after finally beating a chemical addiction. She'd been sober since August and I'd seen her only a week before her untimely death. Funny thing, the very final photo taken of her was by me and my new camera cell phone where she literally hounded me to take a picture. I told her...look I've had this thing 20 minutes, I don't know how it works. I'm thankful that I did!
Several things have happened in the weeks since her death, but one thing I did was to expand my butterfly garden, because she loved butterflies. So with that said, many plants have been planted. I was out there a month after her death, pulling weeds and wilted blooms and looked down only to find 2 dimes there in the red cedar mulch. Without thinking, I picked them up and put them into my pocket of my shorts.
I had errands to run that same morning and while starting my truck, looked down to find yet another dime. Thinking this was 'odd', I picked it up and place it too into my pocket. When I finally left to run my errands, I happened to look down and find yet another dime (another was found a few days later in the bed of my truck).
I was sharing this dime story with one of her friends that stopped by later that afternoon and while I was telling her about it, reached into my pocket to pull out the 4 dimes I'd found and guess what? There were 5 in my pocket.
I certainly can't explain it, but it gives me peace in what I've read and researched on this intersting paranormal experience!
God Bless!

I have been finding dimes everywhere for about 2 years, I havent had a really close loved one die.
I find them in the sink, on the car seat, on my bed, under the laundry, everywhere imaginable.
I even stepped on a pin going into a store and the pin was of the Bluenoes ship, the same thing that is on a dime. ???
What is the meaning of it.

Can this be true? Two years ago I lost my son to cancer. Shortly thereafter I started finding dimes, I had heard of this phenomona and mentioned it to my wife who had not heard of it but she told me that she too was finding dimes in various places. Two weeks ago my wife passed and I am totally devastated. Does something exist beyond life as we know it? Is there a God or extreme being? In these two weeks I have found dimes in the strangest places. This morning I found one in my pocket, a place I know for sure I did not place it there. Earlier today at 4:00am I found one on the bathroom floor which was not there on a previous trip, about 2 or 3 hours earlier. I am truly bewildered. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

My wife found a dime this morning while working on the computer...it was under the router of all places. One hit her in the forehead last night in bed and we looked up and our ceiling wouldn't hold a dime and the kids were sleeping and it was just us in the room. We couldn't figure out where the dime came from and last week my 5 year old son found a dime. So that makes 3 dimes in a week in weird places. My wife's grandmother passed a few years back, the year my son was born. My wife was super close to her grandmother and was a big part of her life. I always felt like my son's birth and her grandmother's death were connected, like
God allowed us a trade. Jake would have loved her. Her grandmother's birthday is Nov. 22nd and my son was born on Nov. 23rd, 2000 on Thanksgiving.
We don't know if her grandmother is trying to communicate with us or what it is that's going on. This morning I googled the dime findings and was surprised to find all of this. Also, about a month ago I felt something in the house like a breeze and even saw a blur out of the corner of my eye. I thought nothing of it at the time but then my wife out of the blue asked if I had sensed anything out of the ordinary and sure enough...so we don't know what to make of all of this.

My nephew was taken from us tragically on March 7, 2007. The night before in the hospital emergency room, my dad and I found two dimes. I was so distraught that I thought nothing of them. I didn't even want to pick them up but something told me to! To make a long story short, as my family was trying to get through this difficult time, we were all talking around the dining room table and realized that we all were finding dimes. The one part I do want to share is that my sister found a dime in the backseat of her car and took it out to save it. The next day there was another dime in the exact spot where the other dime was. She has both dimes and is going to keep them separate in a special place. I can't explain it but it has given us all peace.

I lost my beloved Nonna (grandma) in 1998. I felt lost and heartbroken for a long time after she passed, but had been finding dimes in the strangest places. I said nothing for a very long time, but always wondered if this was a message from Nonna... Then, I finally told my husband. He was skeptical & thought it was just something I had started to notice, and that there was nothing supernatural about it. Then we started to find even MORE dimes- everywhere we went! I decided to ask my sisters & brother if they were finding dimes, and they said "no" but one sister said "Why don't you Google 'finding dimes' and see what comes up?" I am amazed to read all of your posts and glad to know I am not alone and I am not crazy!
I have one more short story about the dimes. My brother's wife died suddenly in 2004, and we all gathered at their house to try to comfort my brother and his 2 shocked, bereaved children. I decided to stay the night in case my brother needed anything at all. In the morning, a light snow had fallen. I was awakened by their small dog, who I let out the front door. She usually headed directly to the bushes on the right, but on that morning, as I watched, she meandered around the porch, right in front of the door, and her footprints made the outline of a perfect heart! I showed my daughter and brother right away & he said she had never done such a thing before! A little later that morning, I went to shake out the dog's bedding and guess what? THREE dimes came out of that cushion! I knew then for sure that it must have been a message! I still find dimes every single day. Tina

My father passed away in 1993 when I was 11. Two years after his death, I swear a dime fell in the floor where my mother was sitting. Ever since then my mom, sister and myself have been finding dimes. We always find them when we really need to feel comfort from our father. We probably have over 500 dimes between the three of us. We all thought we were crazy, but my aunt started finding them soon after us. We were lead to believe that this was to do with golf, because my father was an avid golfer and a dime marks the spot in golfing. But we have been doing our research on coin dropping and finding that it is more than just a personal way our crossed over father is telling us that he loves us.

My sister started finding dimes, in very odd places, about a year ago. I live in Ohio, and she lives in KY.
A few months ago, I went down to visit her, and install a dishwasher in her kitchen. When I pulled out the cabinet, where the dishwasher would go, I found a dime underneath.
Since then, I also have been finding dimes in odd places. Either places where someone else should have seen it, or the opposite, where
no one should have seen it !
My sister and I know these findings are from our father, who has passed on. We know this is partly to ease our minds about life and the hereafter. We are both spiritual people.
I found one today in the oddest place yet. The finding so startled me that I called her in KY., and then Googled finding dimes.
I have read the Celestine Prophecy, and know
about coincidence.
I really don't understand, the finding of dimes,
completely, but it really has my attention !

My brother passed in a motorcycle accident in the summer of 2006. Since then my fiancee and I have been finding dimes in strange places. I hadn't thought much about it until she brought up she was finding them also. I am a bit skeptical, but I believe we transcend this life after death. The dimes seem to be more than a coincidence, especially where we find them. I guess he is saying hello from beyond.

I too have been finding dimes for the last two years starting with the death of my sister. I picked up the first one i found and have been finding them ever since. I just put them in a drawer and thank her every time. sometimes I find them before I'm going somewhere so I figure she wants to go too. My family thinks I'm crazy, even tho they find feathers and wierd things happen all the time.

I have been finding dimes as well and sometimes will just let them sit there to see if someone else picks them up and they don't it is like they are meant for me alone. I have starting looking at the dates on the dimes and although they are different they always add up to 20. I wonder what that means?

I also have found several dimes in unexplainable places. I almost fell out of my chair as I read some of these messages and could relate in certain situations. Trouble is, I wish I knew who it might be that is trying to make contact with me or show their suppport. I have lost several people close to me many years ago, but this phenomenon began for me within the last year or so. I live alone, and I've been so scared and frustrated at times that I've called out for whomever this is to please reveal themselves to me somehow. I know it sounds crazy to try and talk to a dime...I'm surprised I haven't been comitted. I'm so glad that the dimes for most of you have provided at least minimal comfort for a recent loss. I hope that someday I might solve the mystery.

Well, this is really interesting. I actually did a search to find anything on why I was suddenly finding dimes everywhere around me for the last month or so. It was getting so strange that I had to see what there was to it. Before the dimes started showing up, I made a personal commitment to make some serious money because I needed to get myself ahead. At that time I asked my ancestors for any help that they could offer. I am not very airy fairy minded, but this just seemed to be a natural request. All of a sudden dimes started appearing everywhere - I even mentioned it to my son because it was so odd. Now I think I understand what is happening. Thanks for sharing.

I have been finding dimes for the last year and a half or so. Finally I've been finding so many recently, my wife decided I should do a web search. I found this article.
It's very interesting. I knew that there must be something more too it...

Just wanted to share a story. My mother passed one year ago in Aug. She had cancer that had spread to her brain. The Dr. said she maybe had 2 months left to live. I went to visit her right away and it was hard b/c she was in a lot of pain and slept a lot on and off. She wanted me to read an article she had cut out of a magazine. I could see it was about angels and dimes and it was very long, I did'nt read it, I was very distressed and I just wanted to be with her, talk to her, hug her, I could'nt tell her I loved her enough. At that moment I did'nt want to waste my time on an article I just wanted to focus on her. Well, I had to go back home for a few days and was coming right back but 2 days after I left I got a call at 3:40 a.m from my sister saying she passed at 3:33 a.m. My mother did'nt raise me. I was taken away from her when I was 3 years old but the bond that we shared was very strong... so strong you would'nt know I had'nt been with her always. When I went for the funeral I found the article and read it. It was about Angels leaving signs for people to let them know they are o.k. and how one lady thought that rubberbands were a sign from her dead husband and she asked someone who said that dimes were a sign....long story short...it said if you ask for a sign they will give you one. That night when I went to bed I asked her to send me a sign that she was still with me and she is o.k. Well the day after reading it I was at my cousins house, I was up early and cleaning. I was sweeping the floor and had just emptied the dustpan in the trash. There was nothing on the floor. I turned around to do something and when I turned back around there on the floor in front of me shone a dime. I was surprised and jokingly as I picked it up said to myself " I guess this is my sign". Well chills took over when I saw the date on it was the year I was born. I can't describe the feeling of knowing she was there at that moment. No one in the house was awake but me, it was for real. If it had'nt had my year on it I might not have believed so strongly it was from her, she probably knew that. I believe in angels.

I have been finding dimes everywhere for about 15 months now (since Aug 2006). I relocated across the country to be with my husband and the trasition was very difficult. Then all of these dimes started popping up EVERYWHERE- the store parking lots, change from money paid where there was other ways to make change, public bathrooms, my carpet around the house, my car, other cars, casino floors, my kids' school hallway and parking lot, the furniture, desktops, kitchen counters, everyone's driveways I visit, just EVERYWHERE! I found 6 together in my husbands car this morning when cleaning it out after his accident (the only change there)and was given three in change when they could have given me a quarter and nickel when I stopped for a Coke. My friends have all started calling me the Dime Lady! I wasn't sure what it meant ti find all of these dimes consistently, except possibly "ten times good luck"! But then I got nervous and didn't research it until tonight. Today my husband was almost killed in a car acident. He will be ok we think. I love him so much and the other driver was ticketed for wreckless driving and he pulled out on the main road and hit my husband head on! It was aweful. Thank God he didn't have any one of our 4 children (1 BABY!) with him. The man and his wife were in their 80's going out for haircuts, and couldn't see due to the sun when they just went ahead and pulled out onto the road toward my husband. The man was stiched and released but they still have the woman at the hospital I am soooo worried. My husband broke his wedding ring finger and needs surgery (ODD) and his left leg is splinted. He is cut and bruised from head to toe and he is in grave pain. He is hot and cold and sweaty. I am so worried! Anyway, this morning I wondered if the dimes were a warning reference to the 10th month (October) the 20th day (today when the accident happened). It was just before 10 am and we were at the hospital for about 10 hours. Very WEIRD!! We shall see.. if the dimes don't quit, I will know it is my Grandma and Grandpa Fisher saying hello and watching out for me instead!

I have tried to research the symbolism of dimes in elation to our loved ones sending them down to us- in the oddest places and at times when we need them most. Does anyone have any research that supports the significance of dimes? It's so great to hear everyone's stories - they sound just like mine!

My dad died 2 years ago and I have been finding dimes in the strangest places ever since. I have been told that he it is a message from him letting me know all is well with him. It seems that I find them when I need reassurance the most. I have passed this message on to others who are grieving and in no time at all they have the same dime experience. Could it be a coincidence? Why are we not finding nickels and quarters? I do find the occasional penny. Could it be a dime for a phone call (which is now a quarter?) I am very intrigued by this one!
