Rick Owens Spring 2006: A Vision of Draping & Tons of Asymmetry Rendered in Pale Gray, Taupe, Browns & Black. FASHIONTRIBES FASHION EXPERT FASHION BLOG
Rick Owens may not be the most mainstream of designers - check out the 4 inch stacked heel he's sporting to take his runway bow - but he has a pretty significant cult following, and season after season shows timeless yet completely up-to-the-minute clothing.
For spring 2006, he did a riff on draped, cross-body sashes, interestingly asymmetrical looks, floor-length columns, & sheer harem-y pants - all rendered in chiffon, silk, leather and his signature tees. My money is on the black, motorcycle-style leather jacket with ruching & zipper that runs from under the armpit & over the opposite shoulder.
