Miu Miu Spring 2006 Collection from Milan Fashion Week- Some Superhero-esque prints, a dose of glitter and a dash of adorable dresses-Fashiontribes Fashion Blog

You may have noticed our previous lack of excitement from the Milan shows.  Thank the Lord for DSquared-and, apparently this go round, Miu Miu.  While Miuccia Prada's main collection for Prada left us puzzled-did we love it?  Did we hate it?  Do we know how to feel?-Miu Miu was adorable, fresh and exciting.  Pulling some notes from Prada-there were plenty of white pieces, and the dresses still were not exactly fitted to show waistlines and hips-Miu Miu took a more ecstatic approach towards fashion.  Pastel dresses were adorned with a print that looked like superhero explosions, bright gloves exposed the back of hands, platform shoes came in the superhero print or with fun, glittery straps. 

Passes of denim, tan, black and lace also proved exciting.  he navy shorts with a billowy top, a few black and white numbers with ruffles and the final lace pieces were not as eccentric as the printed pieces, but were definitely girly and fun.  While the knit pieces adorned with straps and cut-outs were nice, hardly were they practical for pedestrian use.  The accessories alone should bankroll next season every shoe and bag was extremely covet-able, particularly the white leather purse-both in over-sized and clutch form-with gold hardware.  Bravo, Madame Prada.
