Kate is the only person I know who, besides working a thankless job, actually takes time to read.  Frequently.  On her lunch breaks, on the train.  Oh Kate!  Her latest book, which she says is absolutely fascinating, is The Devil In The White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair that Changed America.  It's a non-fiction account of a series of murders occurring in Chicago as they prepare and host the World's Fair.  According to Kate, so much happens you can't even imagine how it could be true, but it somehow is.  Sounds like a decent read to me.
