If you read my LA STORY BLOG it might seem that I have been scarce.. but not really. I have been working the Oscar beat and hitting all the suites, parties, (one where I was the ONLY media person with J Mendel, Kara Ross and a few other choice people) and chalking up a lot of podcasts. Also connecting with new makeup artists, designers, jewelry lines, brands, and oddly enough musicians--which is why I love what I do.
I have lots more coming at you including interviews with brands and designers, Sara Barielles, reviews on new music like James Morrison and if you haven't heard him-- you should. Ditto Keaton Simons -- his music is on a loop in my head (that's how good he is)

Ah, Valentine’s Day.
The cheesy hallmark holiday that’s great if you have a special someone to share it with, but a nagging reminder when you’re apart of the lonely hearts club. So even though I might boycott all things kisses & hearts this year, I was surprised at how much I “fell in love” with the Red Hot Passion collection designed by Harry Slatkin for White Barn Candle Co.
From glass candles to scented oils, and even a heart filled with red hot candies, I was hooked on how pretty and elegant this collection looked and smelled! There’s a really pretty blend of sugared apple, orange zest and soft sensual vanilla which helped put me in a calming mood. But I definitely dug the fiery blend of red hot cinnamon and cloves which got me thinking I might make the effort to get a date to stay in with next year!

Showtime's suite presented by Friends in High Places event coordinators really outdid most events in town simply because the sun was shining, it was warm and there was room to breathe and move and more importantly, the atmosphere was relaxed and party-like.
