Well, I appreciate your feelings and I don't want to pass you by. But I don't ask you about your business, don't ask me about mine... So, don't ask me no questions. And I won't tell you no lies. So, don't ask me about my business. And I won't tell you goodbye.
- from Don't Ask Me No Questions by Lynyrd Skynyrd
I recently had a disturbing conversation with a "musician" - a rock guitarist, mind you.
me: What do you mean?
RG: Ronnie Van Zant.
me: You're kidding...right?
me: The founder of Lynryd Skynyrd. Have you heard of them?
RG: Of course!
me: Of course.
Who calls themselves a "rock musician" and hasn't heard of Ronnie Van Zant?! *shakes head*
The biker-chic Diesel Black Gold collection by Andreas Melbostad for Resort '15 reminded me of Skynyrd's fab & fun freebird vibe. Although there were tees emblazoned rather morbidly with Race to the Grave, who'd wanna with such choice leathers to rock?! I love the way the various looks are styled, especially the kickass biker belt buckles plus ideas on how to wear leather when it's warm out. Although it's generally too sweaty on a summer day, when the sun sets, a chic white leather jacket would be just the thing! The schoolboy-striped blazer is also very Angus Young from AC/DC which is always a good thing....you have heard of them, right?
And even though this striped-tee look, left, was shown on a guy, I plan to step out in it myself this season.

In case you are looking to brush up on your rock history (ahem, talking to you RG), here's a fun docu I watched on YouTube that you might enjoy. It's not just about Skynryd, but about the emergence of Southern rock, including the fabulous Allman Brothers (for the podcast, scroll below the video):
