London-based fashion blogger Susie Lau of Style Bubble and New York-based street style photographer Phil Oh of Street Peeper first met over six years ago at London Fashion Week, bonding over their shared love of odd fashion & each other's wardrobes. The duo often travel together & now they can add co-designing to their respective resumes. Oh, Bubble! is launching this month at Urban Outfitters & is comprised of fabrics the pair found in markets and odd shops while traveling throughout Mexico City, Bangko, Shanghai & Tokyo. Taking both the traditional and signature elements of each city, they've distilled each piece to what they felt embodied the essence of the place, but in a modern, wearable way. Translation: a six-piece capsule collection which includes a geometric pink kimono dress, a Miao tribe jacket, pajama pants in an ikat print, a pajama blouse and her personal fave, a bomber jacket that's embroidered. "I think it's a very 'Phil and Bubble' piece that we’d both wear, probably simultaneously and with loads of different prints and pastel shades going on underneath," notes Susie, adding that Oh, Bubble! is "really a collection of souvenirs that just happen to be wearable." And well-priced as well, ranging from $80 to $150 at UrbanOutfitters.com.
