I'm such a sucker for a save-the-day tale. Especially if it involves accessories & an organization angle (my inner Martha). In 1941, a temporary secretary in London, one Grace Scurr, had been keeping a portable & up-to-date record of the company's suppliers and customers which she tucked into her bag at night and took home. And when the offices were destroyed in the Blitz, Grace saved the day with her "file of facts."
A Filofax makes intuitive sense these days where everything's digital and 24/7. There's something comfortingly simple about putting pen to paper. It's not surprising that Filofax users tend to bond with their organizers; I know I've been crazy 'bout my beautiful pink one since it was sent my way a few years ago.
However.......this black-lace one by Temperley London, dubbed "The Affair", is glamorous & gorgeous enough to make me consider having one behind my pink one's back.
