A New Urban-Chic Line of Threads & Accessories Inspired by ... Concrete
An artist in their groove will tell you that inspiration can be found pretty much anywhere - including concrete. Concrete-design firm IVANKA recently expanded beyond what you'd typically expect from a concrete business with the Paris Fashion Week launch of *Concrete Genezis*, a line of stylish clutches & clothing inspired by this offbeat choice.
"We developed a new textile-innovation based on the esthetic qualities of concrete," notes Katalin Ivanka, one half of the eponymous duo behind the Budapest-based brand. "Visualizing today’s modern urban woman and building on the dualism of her fragility and power that can be found in all women, our goal is to illustrate the delicate contrast and cross-gender phenomena through different shapes and materials - playing with contrasts of hard concrete and soft fabric and
placing classic shapes in an unexpected context."
