Will You End Up a *Fashion Hazard* or Manage to Stay in Season?

In its first ever iOS role-playing game, Conde Nast has brought the jungle that is Fashion Week to an iPhone or iPad near you. As Ellie Redburn, a fresh face from Kansas at the bottom of the fashion food chain, you have to swipe, tilt & tap your way to the top of the chic heap (in 3D!) by making a series of runway round-trips without tripping, losing your balance or taking the ultimate spill - and all before the clock runs out. The Fashion Hazard fun kicks off in New York and you progress by earning achievements, dodging flying objects, fending off photographers and high-heeling it to the boutique to trade your bling for special powers (like coin magnet & immortality).
Should you survive the Big Apple, it's off to Europe and three more cities - London, Milan & Paris - where the game gets progressively harder & the stakes higher. And if you/Ellie triumph, you get to become a new model & strut to the next level - for up to six different characters, including snippets to be unlocked about their lives, romantic struggles and professional intrigue.
A Game Center leaderboard makes it possible to compete with other players & compare achievements - which can of course immediately be tweeted & FB'd to everyone that matters. You can use your own iTunes library of songs for catwalking & thanks to a partnership with Frenzoo's Style Me Girl, players will be invited to dress their avatars for a special Fashion Week show or after-party. (Look for a fun sweepstakes to launch closer to NYFW.)
"Fashion Hazard mixes challenging game play, a sassy design and imaginative storytelling," says Juliana Stock, senior director business and product development at the in-house Interactive Product Group (iPG). "We think girls will really enjoy the combination of fashion and action. It’s a unique blend for this demo and a niche we feel has a lot of potential."
Fashion Hazard is now available at the Apple App store for $.99 & is, of course, on FB & Twitter (@Fashion_Hazard_).
