Project Runway Season X, Ep. 2 Serves Up Candy & Clothing Accessorized Stylishly with Some Snark + a SPECIAL GIVEAWAY!
...and the drama & kookiness continues tonight for Episode 2 of Season X on Project Runway! As part of their new Fashion Network, I can give you these sneak peek pix ahead of when the episode airs, plus a bit about what this week holds in the way of fun dramz! THIS WEEK:
WHO: The featured designers this week are The social butterfly (Buffi), The snob (Lantie), The hothead (Elena), The stoic (Ven), The peacekeeper (Sonjia) & The grandma (Andrea).
WHAT: The troops meet up with Heidi on the runway, where she teases them about how their inner-kids will love the sweet challenge, which she means literally....
WHERE: Dylan's Candy Bar!
WHAT: The challenge is to make couture out of candy. The designers rip apart the store, grabbing whatever looks good. For eating maybe, but clothing? In the workroom, the inner children feud with this unconventional "fabric" & nobody (inner kids included) is amused when Buffi hammers an umbrella. Tim Gunn critiques their looks, especially Andrea (who looks stunned), and when the models arrive for fittings, some designers have nothing for them to even try on. So they sit around, bored, eating the candy.
WHEN: A new day. The designers worry about what will happen on the runway, and some have given up at this point on candy and instead resorted to fabric (which everyone agrees is a bad idea) while other scurry to finish their candy confections. Which start shedding said candy during model walks.
As usual, the designers meet the judges on the runway and the top three and bottom three are revealed, the responsible designers grilled, the winner announced & the loser sent to pack up & leave.
